For the Love of Art!
Pat Spano is an Ormond Beach artist working in pastels, watercolors, and acrylics. She is a member of the Ormond Main Street Event Committee, Florida Women's Art Association, Daytona Beach Art League, and the Palette & Brush Club. She teaches art at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum, adult art classes in Aberdeen, and the summer “Art Explosion” program for students 8-16 years old, at the Casements in Ormond.
Exhibits include the Daytona Art League, Ormond Beach Library, and posters done for Ormond Main Street “Celtic Festival and Riverfest”.
Pat retired from the Volusia Co. school system. Art was always incorporated in her curriculum: from designing bulletin boards, drawing, clay, watercolor, silk painting, artist studies, etc. These enrichment activities instilled love and appreciation for “art” in her
Pat studied art at Daytona State, Florida State University and McDaniel College in MD. She enjoys continuing her studies through workshops in watercolor and acrylic. In 2015 and 2017, Pat taught watercolor journaling in S.W, France. The experience of helping others find a creative outlet is wonderful and has inspired her to grow as an artist.
